A number of Gaslight Ukulele Band Members attended Walton Library based Wakeylele Ukulele Groups performce in front of an appreciative  audience at Sherwood Court, Kettlethorpe on 21st February, 2020.

The band was led by David Broadbent who entertained between songs with his humorous accounts of the stories behind the songs, lncluding the BBC banning George Formby’s ‘When I’m cleaning Windows’.

Highlights included Dirty Old Town, Country Roads, Feeling Groovy and Elvis classic Return to Sender.

There was a chance for the audience to join in the singing with Old Time Favourites; Roll out the Barrel,My Old Man said follow the Van, Wont you come Home Bill Bailey, Yes Sir that’s my Baby and Knees up Mother Brown.
